Essential unit question: What is a countries limits?

How were the decades of the 1970's, 1980's and the 1990's a test of the limits for Americans? 

 

  • Take a piece of 8 1/2 X 11 white paper, no more or less, be creative with your space
  • Review the categories above and pick one that you're interested in. No need for pictures, write or draw pictures
  • Work alone, place name on the poster, use every square inch of the poster for limits 
  • Explain your category and how it tests the limits of our democracy and freedom, use many angles
    • First, come up with 2-3 questions or statements you have for the category throughout the 70's-80's-90's and how it tested the limits of the country.
    • Read articles above and below that are attached with the category to gain understanding of the time period and its test of the limits.
    • Write 1-2 more questions or statements you have about the category to explain more on the limits it tests.
